Ahascragh Distillery is Ireland’s first zero-emissions whiskey and gin distillery, located in the heart of County Galway. We will open the doors of our visitor experience this Summer and we are looking for Tour Guides to help us tell our story.

The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic, charismatic, hard-working individual. We are looking for someone who can help us give our customers an unforgettable experience as they tour the facilities and taste our whiskey and gin.

Duties

• Engage visitors on the history and future of Ahascragh Distillery and the distilling process
• Lead informative and entertaining tours throughout the distillery
• Act as an ambassador for Ahascragh Distillery and our whiskey and gin brands
• Encourage tour visitors to visit the gift shop and make suggestions for purchases
• Welcome customers into the Visitor Centre, checking them in for tours
• Facilitate spirit tastings for groups in varying sizes

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of face-to-face customer service, retail experience or similar
• Public speaking/teaching/drama background would be of advantage.
• Additional language other than English would be of advantage

Full training will be given to ensure all Tour Guides are representing Ahascragh Distillery with the necessary information and knowledge. 

Part- and full-time opportunities available over 7 days. This role is also suitable for students.
