Irish legend tells the story of the Three Colla brothers, Colla Uais, Colla Fo Chrí and Colla Menn who conquered and ruled over most of Ireland with Colla Uais becoming Ard Rí or High King of Ireland in the 4th century.
A smooth well-balanced blend of malt and grain whiskeys. This sourced malt has been double Distilled, blended with grain, and casked in ex Bourbon Barrels, and Oloroso Sherry Butts and aged for 13 years.
Tasting Notes
Nose: A citrus shock of apple and orange, hints of toasted oak, honey and cream
Taste: A smooth creamy sweetness with citrus and sherry notes, then more fruit, nuts
and bourbon malt maturity, caramel and fresh apricots
Finish: Deep and rounded finish, progressive warming with lingering fruit and nut
